Here's the lay of the land, every day there are more than one Major League Baseball game available, we choose 3 TEAMS, 2 PARLAYS, 1 WINNER.
Step 1: To elaborate, the first game we will choose will start both parlays. The first team is (according to the moneyline) the underdog, straight up moneyline. That is the start of Parlay #1.
Example: San Diego Padres (+140) vs. Colorado Rockies (-165)
We would have the Padres +140 as the first leg of our Parlay #1.
Step 2: To begin Parlay #2, we turn our attention to the run line of the same game which should look something like this...
Example: San Diego Padres +1.5 (-145) vs. Colorado Rockies -1.5 (+135)
In this case we bet the other side of the game while still keeping our positive value, so we take Rockies -1.5 (+135) as our first leg of our Parlay #2.
The science here is that the only way we can lose between these 2 bets is if the Rockies win by exactly 1 run which happens very seldom in baseball.
Step 3: Just betting the Padres & Rockies alone would risk $200 (using $100 as our unit value) to only win either $40 or $35 on a good day, which 4 wins on average will equal 1 loss and over time will be a failing strategy. To avoid this, we parlay these 2 bets with a heavy favorite, that based on statistics, analytics, and trends should have an easy victory (which is where we come in).
Example: Baltimore Orioles (+235) vs. Boston Red Sox (-285) 12pm in BOS
(BAL had a game the night before which they lost in 13 innings in Seattle)
(BOS is on a 10 game win streak at home with their best pitcher on the mound)
Using this information, we tie the Red Sox into BOTH of our Parlays as the second leg of each thus maximizing our winnings from ~25% to ~75% of our risk.
In a nutshell, this is our system. There is much more work that goes in behind the scenes to pick the 3 teams we do to ensure victory every night but we hope this will give you a better understanding.
Final Example ($100 unit value):
- SD wins 9-8 over COL
- BOS wins 5-0 over BAL
PARLAY #1: Padres + Red Sox = Win Wagered $100 Won $224.21
PARLAY #2: Rockies + Red Sox = Loss Wagered $100 Loss -$100
Winnings: $124.21
